House Manager & Meal Prep We are a busy family of four based in Kensington, MD, with children aged 6 and 8 (both in full time school). We're looking for a reliable, organized, and proactive House Manager to assist with household tasks, meal preparation, laundry, errands, and other light family support. Our ideal candidate is patient, anticipates needs, takes initiative, and has great communication skills. You'll need to be comfortable with both routine and ad-hoc tasks while being a good communicator to ensure the home runs smoothly. We would also love someone who can identify areas of improvement within our home systems. This position offers flexibility in scheduling, with the ideal candidate working approximately 15 hours/week. There is potential for occasional babysitting, but this is not a primary focus of the role. Employment Type: Part-time (15 hours/week, flexible) Proposed Start Date: ASAP / May 5 Compensation: $28-$35/hour based on experience Requirements: Non-smoker, pass background check, reliable transportation, English-speaking, vaccinated (general, COVID, and flu) Proposed Schedule: Flexible, 3 days/week, approximately 5 hours/day (ideal) - primarily before 6 pm. Parent works from home. Key Responsibilities: Household Management & Organization: Organize and declutter spaces (closets, drawers, kids' rooms) Assist with seasonal clothing swaps and maintaining organization systems Coordinate donations, pickups, and household item stocking (pantry staples, cleaning supplies) Manage family orders (Amazon, groceries) Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare healthy, family-favorite meals (no pork or shellfish) Grocery shopping for meal prep and pantry needs Collaborate with the family on meal planning Errands & Household Tasks: Grocery shopping, Amazon returns, dry cleaning pickup/drop-off Schedule and coordinate car service appointments Handle occasional gift shopping or holiday prep Laundry & Tidying: Manage laundry: bedding, towels, and kids' clothing Fold, iron, and steam clothes for the upcoming week Ensure the house is prepped for bi-weekly professional cleaning Seasonal & Deep Cleaning: Periodic deep cleaning (fridge, seasonal clothing, bedding refreshes) Organize and assist with seasonal home projects Additional Tasks: Occasionally assist with packing for family trips or larger home projects Optional, occasional babysitting - not a primary focus Additional Information: Approximately 15 hours/week with some scheduling flexibility Potential for additional hours or tasks if desired Opportunity to help streamline and optimize household systems How to Apply: Please email recruiting@mysagehaus.com with the following: 1.
