About the job
We're looking for after school care for our 5 (almost 6!) year old daughter with special needs. Most prominently, she has intellectual disabilities and developmentally, she's more like a 3-year-old. She is autistic and minimally verbal, but she does have good receptive language and understands what people say to her. Additionally, she has epilepsy. While it's well controlled, you will need to be trained to respond in the off chance she does have a seizure. Our daughter if very active and energetic. She loves to play basketball, run around, and drive fire trucks at playgrounds. After a good amount of time running around outside, she loves to come home and snuggle and read books. She's very affectionate and loves to give people hugs and kisses.
