Description:
Loving & organized first-time parents in Bethesda, MD are in search of a gentle and responsive full-time nanny with infant expertise to lovingly tend to their 2-month-old baby boy. This family resides in Bethesda and is open to both live-in and live-out candidates. They are also looking for a nanny who can accompany them to Florida from February 25th to April 10th, with separate living accommodations provided during this time.
Their son is an intuitive and content little one who is thriving and is steadily building strength during tummy time. He is bottle-fed and breastfed and has a milk protein and egg allergy that the family is mindful of managing.
As Christian-based parents, they aspire to cultivate a future-minded, nurturing, compassionate, and hands-on parenting approach. Both parents work from home in separate office spaces and will be in and out of the house throughout the day. With an Australian Shepherd and 2 feline friends in the mix- being pet-friendly is essential.
Mom and Dad are seeking a proactive and compassionate nanny to support them in their parenting journey. They're looking for someone trustworthy, reliable, and punctual who can provide and thrive in a structured environment and can anticipate the needs of their baby. The role involves ensuring seamless care during their busy schedules.
The ideal candidate will embrace the close bond of a nanny-family relationship, caring for their son with the same empathy and dedication as they would their own. Creativity and initiative are essential, as the family values someone who can thoughtfully engage their little one through age-appropriate activities such as tummy time, reading, and exercise, without using any screens or TV. Anticipating the child's needs, such as preparing bottles and maintaining structure, will allow mom and dad to enjoy quality time with their baby. The family values bilingualism and strongly prefers candidates fluent in a second language to apply. While not a requirement, applicants with a background in early childhood education are also highly encouraged to apply to support the family's focus on fostering a strong developmental foundation. An understanding of childhood nutrition and making infant food is a strong positive.
As their child grows, the family plans to incorporate travel into their routine, with potential destinations including Europe and various domestic locations. Trips will typically range from extended weekends to a week. A willingness to travel is essential for this role.
This family seeks a team player who respects their parenting style, follows household rules, and feels comfortable offering thoughtful suggestions or seeking guidance when needed. They prioritize open and honest communication and deeply value a supportive partnership. With their baby's well-being as the top priority, they are looking for a nanny who is fully invested, focused, and engaged with their little one.
This position is ideal for an infant-savvy candidate who has a strong knowledge of infant educational and motor skills milestones. If you're a responsive, engaging, and down-to-earth communicator who exudes confidence and knows the baby ropes you would be a great fit. Mom and Dad are seeking a loving, organized, gentle, and creative nanny.
This individual's responsibilities will include all child-related tasks including providing reliable care, providing guidance around developmental milestones, preparing and sterilizing bottles and breast pump parts, doing baby laundry, keeping the nursery clean and organized, making homemade baby food when appropriate, and keeping a journal of the baby's eating, sleeping, and diapering habits. Light housekeeping related to the baby including loading and unloading the dishwasher will be requested.
