About the job
Looking for a part-time caregiver / companion for our sweet, smart 10th / 11th grade daughter, who is gifted and talented, with high functioning autism in Bethesda. For the last year, she has been school avoidant due to social anxiety and sensory issues. She is currently in online school, but classes are from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays & Wednesdays. I am with her while she is in classes. We'd like to have someone hang out with her 2 hours every day and do something like play games with her for 1 - 1. 5 hours, then be with her not in a tutor capacity, to provide her an accepting 30 minute - 1 hour space for her do homework. The job would start immediately, but will have minimal duties ( 1 - 2x / week as needed ) for the 2 week period at the December holidays. 3 - 5 days a week after that. Ideal match will meet the requirements below.
