FT Nanny Location: Newton, MA Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-6pm, plus one late night (10:15 pm) per month (January through April), 8:30am-5:30 p.m. (May through December) Children: 5-month-old boy Duties: Primary responsibilities are engaging the child in age and developmentally appropriate activities. Secondary responsibilities are child's laundry, preparing child's meals, keeping child's room and play areas tidy, and letting the dog out as needed. Requirements: 3+ years of professional childcare experience including recent experience caring for infants, a clean criminal record, and a good driving record. The ideal candidate will have the expertise and confidence to help the family navigate various developmental milestones, have a strong interest in early childhood development, be intentional about forming a bond with the child, and love dogs. Parents intend to collaborate closely with the candidate around high-level decisions regarding child's schedule, nutrition, and socialization, but provide the candidate with significant independence day-to-day. Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred. Must be fully vaccinated. Pets: 1 dog - Very friendly Hound mix who loves attention. Driving/Parking: Parents prefer that candidates are willing to use own car to transport child, with mileage reimbursed. Parking available. Travel: None Additional Information: Dad works from home and mom does occasionally. Compensation: $30-35 per hour, taxes withheld, guaranteed hours, 3 weeks paid vacation (one of which is week between Christmas and New Years), paid sick days, paid holidays and a negotiable health stipend.
