Hours: Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (2 hours), with potential additional hours for special events and programming
Position Overview:
Memorial Congregational Church is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Attendant to provide care and supervision for young children during our Sunday morning worship service. This role requires a responsible individual who has a strong work ethic and is passionate about working with children ages 6 months to 5 years.
Responsibilities:
Provide a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment for children in the church nursery.
Engage with children through play, reading, and simple activities.
Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the nursery space.
Assist with any special events or programming as needed (additional hours may be available).
Collaborate with the Pastor of Youth and Families, for example, assist with older youth in Sunday school programming if no Nursery-aged children are present.
Qualifications:
A commitment to the mission of Memorial Congregational Church.
Experience working with young children (preferred).
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a warm, caring personality.
Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents.
Background check required (will be arranged by the church).
