Preschool Teacher

Come join our fun team of educators! Our Toddler-Preschool Lab Program at Newton North High School is looking for creative, energetic, and compassionate Teachers to work in our classrooms. This role involves engaging with preschool-aged children and promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development through various educational activities. Applicants must: Meet EEC Teacher Certificate Requirements Have a degree in related field Exhibit a strong work ethic and initiative. Be flexible and able to work in a team setting. Maintain positive and professional relationships with students, high school students, parents, and coworkers. Pass an EEC background check Responsibilities include, but are not limited to Developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration. Using positive reinforcement techniques to promote good conduct among students. Providing individualized care and attention to each child, ensuring their welfare and developmental needs are met. Assisting Lead Teachers with assessments to monitor children's progress. Communicating with parents and guardians to discuss children's development and address any concerns regarding their welfare. Incorporating physical education activities indoors and outdoors into the curriculum to promote healthy habits among children. Hours 35-40 hours a week. We follow the NPS school calendar for holidays and vacation weeks (Paid school holidays and vacation weeks). Daily hours may vary between the hours of 7:30-4:30.
