About the job
Im looking for an aide (about 13 hours/wk) for a pleasant and easy going 25 yr-old autistic nonspeaking man who uses an alphabet board and keyboard as his AAC and lives in Framingham. We are looking for someone who can drive him to gym and to play games with a peer, learn to support his AAC use, read poetry to him, play Wii and games with him and support him making his lunch and with some personal jobs around the house. Its a plus if you are good at math and play the piano. Its going to take time for you to learn how to support him using his AAC so we'd love a multi-year commitment. We are looking for someone on Mondays and Wednesdays. Pay is $35/hr. Must pass a CORI and provide at least 2 references. The job will be from Monday: 12:00 p.m. to 5 or 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday, 9:00-4:00 p.m. You will be hired by an agency contracted through DDS.
