After two wonderful years with their current Nanny, she is moving and they are seeking a new full-time Household Manager and Nanny at their home in the South End of Boston, starting in mid May. The family has two amazing boys, ages 2 and 4, who are in school daily until 5 p.m. The schedule is 11:30 a.m. - 6:30pm, with guaranteed hours weekly. Household Management is 90% of this role, with childcare being 1. 5 hours each day. The family would love to find someone looking for a long term match (18 mos. - 2 years). A great match is self-directed, autonomous, organized, collaborative, and detail-oriented with strong time management skills and the ability to take ownership of the role. The position includes meal planning, prepping, and simple cooking for the family, grocery shopping, household organization projects, family laundry, keeping inventory of food and supplies, packing the kids for weekend getaways, and generally keeping the house tidy. While childcare is a smaller part of this role, it's an equally important one. The family is looking for an active, communicative, patient, loving, unflappable, proactive Nanny who truly enjoys the childcare piece of the job as much as the household management. Their current Nanny enjoys engaging with the boys and planning outings, whether that's a stop at the playground on the way home from school to play with friends, or a playdate or trip to the museum on a half day of school. They're looking for someone who is looking to become an integral part of their family and a collaborative part of the care team. The family has no pets. Driving is required- there is no parking. A car is provided for the Nanny to use during work hours. They are located in walking distance to the Orange line (Back Bay), the Green line (Copley Sq), and the Silver line (Union park) Compensation: $40+/hour with optional monthly healthcare stipend. Paid vacations, paid holidays, and paid sick time. All pay on the books via payroll.
