Job Opportunity: Summer Care Provider For Autistic Child

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to assist with the care of an 11-year-old autistic girl during the summer. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children on the autism spectrum and, preferably, a background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Hours: One to two days per week, six or more hours per day. 8-3 on faus not in school and 12-3 on days when in school. Duration: Occasional care throughout the summer. Schedule is rotating, but can give specific days and times up front. The young girl has communication challenges, so patience, understanding, and experience with nonverbal or minimally verbal communication techniques are essential. There is a friendly dog and cat in the home, so the applicant must be comfortable around pets. A 16-year-old sibling will also be in the home, no care is needed.
