Physical, emotional and social well-being need to be provided. There needs to be an established routine. Consistency with daily meals, playtime and rest. Encourage healthy eating. Balanced diet. Limiting intake of sugars and processed foods and no artificial dyes. Promoting physical activity. Sensory play, playing outside, dancing and sports. Provide a nurturing and supportive environment that encouraged the childrens emotional development. IE: responding to childrens needs, provide comfort and reassurance, helping children with coping. Provide opportunities for the children to learn and develop new skills. Reading, educational games, age appropriate toys and activities. Provide yourself with self care. Caring for children can be demanding. Get enough rest, eat a healthy meal, engage in activities that promote relaxation.
