Classroom teachers support the learning, development, and health of young children. Their responsibilities include: Planning- Create daily activity plans that align with the school curriculum and focus on different areas of child development. Materials available to select from premade curriculum. Teaching- Inspiring children in age-appropriate activities that are educational and fun, such as reading stories, puppet story time, playing, using art, and going on field trips. Managing- Maintain a clean and safe classroom, manage classroom activities like lessons, breaks, meals, and play, and enforce rules of behavior. Transition student through the different centers in your classroom, dramatic play with costumes, run a restaurant, writing center. Supporting- Help children reach developmental milestones, learn basic skills like identifying colors and shapes, and build their sense of identity and belonging. Communicating- Develop positive relationships with children and parents, and communicate with parents about their child's progress and development.
