About the job
Looking for evening/ weekend nanny for a special needs child in Lombard. We prefer someone who could help with light housekeeping and assist the child to learn basic life skills such as bathroom needs (toilet training /washing / cleaning self / bath ); independence with dressing, eating, self hygiene, structured playing (focusing on fine motor skills and language skills), reading books, writing, tidying up surroundings, organizing, etc. The child is a sweet and loving child with Down Syndrome. We want someone who can TEACH and GUIDE her to become independent and self sufficient. Prefer someone with an educational background (OR experience) in special education or special needs care. We need help in the evenings after school from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Central time and on Saturday mornings (from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.). Hours may vary.
