About the job
My oldest son is 8 years old and has autism. He is primarily non-verbal and uses a speech device to request his wants and needs. He does understand language and directions. He loves sensory play such as water, shaving cream, slime, etc. He requires added assistance to remind him to use the restroom, prompted to eat when at the table, and extra diligence to make sure he does not hurt himself as he is unaware of surroundings at times. My youngest is 5 years old, typical boy who loves all things superhero's, bugs, and playing rough. Ideally I'd love to find a consistent long-term caregiver who can assist with some of my oldest needs and provide relieve to myself and grandparents who primarily care for him. The daily schedule is yet to be determined.
