About the job
My son is 12 years old and Autistic. He's non-verbal but learning to use a communications device. We're looking for someone to receive him off the bus in the afternoons as we commute home from work. We will prep his meals for after school and feeding him while allowing his down time is what we're looking for. J's routine is to arrive home, change clothes, eat a small meal and retire to his room or designated space in a downstairs space until mom and dad return home. We return home between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. J. likes to the freedom to watch television during his down time although he does have other activities we will discuss with anyone interested. He does distribute self harming behaviors when frustrated but does not have a history of attacking or harming anyone. We are a family in need of some love and care for our son.
