Lincoln Park Family Seeking Experienced Nanny Manager Location: Lincoln Park, Chicago Schedule: Monday - Friday, Flexible Hours (40 hours guaranteed) Pay: $28-$34 per hour + PTO (Vacation, Holiday, Sick, and Personal Days) Start Date: March 31, 2025 A dynamic Lincoln Park family is seeking an experienced Nanny Manager to oversee both childcare and household operations for fun, loving school-age daughter. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience as a nanny, is caring, responsible, patient, and a good communicator. Responsibilities Nanny Duties: Provide nurturing care for a loving 5-year-old child. Encourage creative play and learning through fun, interactive activities. Prepare school lunch, prepare backpack, set out clothing for the next day, and ensure the child is bathed nightly. Prepare healthy meals for child for the entire week. Handle school pick-up (with potential drop-off depending on the final schedule) and camps during summer break. Drive the child to afternoon activities and any extracurricular events. Supervise playdates and social activities to ensure safety and enjoyment. Connect with other caregivers for playdates. Work with child on homework, including phonics and math. Bonus if the candidate is bilingual and has a college education. Nanny must be comfortable with the possibility of (infrequent) overnight care. House Managing Duties: Additional Expectations Manage child and family laundry. Light family meal prep 2-3 nights per week. Load and unload dishwasher, wipe down counters, sweep up messes, keep areas tidy including play spaces and child's room. Run errands (grocery shopping, dry cleaning, Amazon returns, etc.) and restock essential supplies. Maintain grocery list and anticipate family's needs. Maintain organization throughout the home, organize child's seasonal clothes as needed, and put outgrown clothes aside. Uphold family rules, practices, and preferences to maintain a safe, structured environment. Additional Expectations Must be comfortable working in a home where one parent works from home. The work space is on a separate dedicated floor away from the main living areas. Occasional, very infrequent overnight care may be required. Demonstrate a high level of punctuality, care, responsibility, and excellent communication. Proactive, fun-loving, and engaging approach to both childcare and household management. What We're Looking For Family hours are flexible, either Part-time or Full-time, for the right candidate. Minimum of 5 years of experience in childcare or nanny management, focusing on school-age children Valid driver's license with a safe, clean driving record and can drive their own car. Current CPR certification and up-to-date vaccines Excellent communication and organizational skills A warm, loving, and proactive approach to nurturing and managing both child and household duties Why Join This Family?
