Job Description: West Loop family seeking a loving and experienced Nanny for their infant! Start February 2025.
Family is looking to move to Oak Park within the next year-would like their Nanny to be able to continue to work with them after this move!
Compensation: $25-$32/hr. + vacation, holidays, and PTO.
Schedule: Guaranteed 45-50 hours a week. Monday-Friday, between the hours of 7:00am-5:00 p.m.
Job Details and Responsibilities:
Primary care is for a 4-month-old.
Responsibilities include all care of the child: feeding (bottles and switching to solids when age appropriate), monitoring and facilitating naps, developmentally appropriate play with the child, assisting with milestones, changing diapers.
Light housekeeping includes tidying and organizing toys, washing/sterilizing bottles, and child's laundry.
Nanny should actively engage with the child in fun, yet developmental, activities, both inside and out of doors. Family puts a big emphasis on reading and would like Nanny to happy/comfortable reading stories with their child.
Nanny should be well-versed and knowledgeable about creating healthy sleep routines, transitioning to solid foods, and child development.
Both parents work from home on Fridays in separate spaces. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement.
Qualifications:
Nanny should have extensive verifiable experience working with infants. Should be knowledgeable of infant care and safety.
As the child grows, Nanny will begin to take on more Nanny Manager responsibilities (meal prep, driving to school/activities, running errands/grocery shopping, etc.).
Family is looking to grow within the next year-Nanny should be looking for a long-term role and willing to work with more children in the future.
Nanny should be warm and caring. Will be able to foster a positive relationship with the child and the family and work as a team.
Nanny should be self-sufficient. Will be able to plan activities and keep track of the child's needs. Nanny should be pro-active about completing tasks.
Reliable and communicative. Able to communicate well and be receptive to feedback.
Driving is required for the role. Nanny should have a safe driving record and be able to use their own vehicle-family can provide a vehicle if needed.
COVID and Flu vaccinations are preferred. TDAP vaccination is required.
