* We offer fun activities and developmental learning opportunities for children while they are in Village Care. Your job as an Assistant Teacher is to assist the Lead Teacher and help children transition from one part of the day to the next while being a patient, positive role model. We are seeking hands-on, motivated assistant teachers who truly love spending time with early learners. * Responsibilities: - Assist Lead Teacher in leading pre-planned activities and supervise children during Open Play times. -Respond to children's daily needs with flexibility, patience, and nurturing. - Change diapers for younger children, assist with snacks and lunch as needed. -Supervise nap times and be able to keep the class rhythm flowing. -Help prepare the classroom and materials for the upcoming day's activities. * Requirements: - 1-2 years of experience - Experience leading group activities and working one-on-one with children ages 3m-2y - Current CPR + First-Aid Certification or willingness to become certified - Record of up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass a background check -Excellent attitude and proactive approach to work * Benefits: - Paid Time Off: 6 PTO, 10 Paid Vacation Days, one week off at the beginning of July, 2 weeks off at the end of December/beginning of January. - Childcare: If you are a parent, we offer free enrollment for 1 child (of qualifying age) after 8 months of employment. - Professional Development: We value your growth and are happy to help support your continued professional development after 6 months of employment - Health Benefit Credit: Monthly Health stipend for all full time employees
