Job Description: Roscoe Village family seeking an experienced Nanny for their 3-month-old twins! Looking for a warm and caring Nanny to join their family. Start September 2024. Schedule: Guaranteed 32 hours a week. Scheduled hours will be Tuesday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00 p.m. Compensation: $30/hour + vacation, holidays, sick days. Job Details and Responsibilities: Children: 3-month-old twins Primary responsibilities are the day-to-day care of the children including preparing bottles, changing diapers, monitoring naps, and taking the children on walks and to activities. Light housekeeping includes tidying and organizing the children's areas, children's laundry, washing bottles and children's dishes, and keeping track of the children's needs (diapers, wipes, etc.). Nanny should be knowledgeable regarding child development and milestones (switching to solid foods, crawling to walking, potty training, etc.). Should be able to provide developmentally appropriate activities. One parent works from home and will be in and out of the home throughout the day, depending on calls and meetings. Would like the Nanny to be open to parent being present and sometimes joining the Nanny and children for activities, feedings, etc. The family has one cat. No care is required. Nanny should be comfortable around pets! Qualifications: Extensive, verifiable nannying experience with infants and toddlers is required. Experience working with twins is a plus. Nanny is looking for a long-term commitment with a family. Nanny should be warm, caring, and patient. Will be able to foster a positive relationship with the children and the family. Nanny should be self-sufficient and organized. Will be able to plan activities and keep track of children's needs. Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and anticipate family's needs. Reliable, punctual, and communicative. Is open to feedback and comfortable giving it as well. TDAP, Covid, and Flu vaccinations, along with CPR certification, is required.
