About the job
Seeking a person to care for our 17-year-old son two Saturdays a month in our home. He is developmentally 2 and needs prompt and safety support with feeding, hygiene activities, dressing, and sensory activities. Must have: - at least 6 months of experience working with or living with a high needs individual - experience in deescalation and behavior response - a clean driving record (kiddo is soothed by car rides and you would be driving our vehicle) - the physical ability to move a tall, 150-pound individual in an emergency situation - a positive attitude and problem solving abilities - must be able to pass the DHW background check Parents will typically be home and able to help, if needed. You would be enabling them to work on home projects and to spend dedicated time with a sibling.
