We are looking for a patient, reliable, and understanding support buddy with reliable transportation to engage in meaningful activities with our son while respecting his needs for autonomy. Our son is an 11-year-old with autism who is verbal, ambulatory, and thrives on one-on-one interactions. He is a bright and inquisitive preteen who responds best to a low-demand approach with gentle reminders. He benefits from structured yet flexible interactions. He enjoys computer games, LEGO, and anything scientific. While he prefers indoor activities, he does like to go for walks and enjoys outings like Target trips, pet stores, and International grocery stores.
