About the job
We are looking for a special needs nanny to provide care for our 6-year-old daughter who has dystonic cerebral palsy due to a birth injury. She is nonverbal and uses a wheelchair. While she is very smart and usually sweet, and a whiz on her iPad, she does have some autism-type behaviors in that she can become emotionally dysregulated when hungry, tired, etc. She requires toileting help/diaper changes, total assistance dressing, as well as assistance eating all meals (she can self-feed some finger foods). She goes to school from 8:20-2:20 on the weekdays, and ideally we are looking for someone (or even more than one person) who could feed her breakfast starting at 7 a.m. and take her to school, then pick her up from school and help feed her dinner, bathe her, change her, etc. until about 7 p.m. We are flexible though!
