About the job
We're seeking a sitter who has experience with infants and great references to care for our baby girl in our home. Shes due at the end of Sept. and, at first, we'll need a caretaker for emergencies or special occasions. After 6 weeks, we'll schedule regular care about 3 weekday mornings and occasional care on evenings. Starting rate is $15 per hour, with possible pay increase for a knowledgeable and trustworthy person who will focus her attention on engaging with our baby, playing and helping her learn, and keeping her safe and calm. Our daughter will be adopted and, as she grows, we'd love to have a caregiver who'd encourage her to be proud of her African American identity and reinforce positive messages about adoption as a loving choice made by us and her birth mother.
