Her perfect caregiver will be: 1. STRONG! She is non-ambulatory and requires body lifting/transferring assistance. She can bear weight on her feet but needs someone who is strong enough to be able to do most of the work. 2. SENSITIVE! Because her CP affects her arms and hands too, she needs someone who can take care of her personal hygiene needs (toileting, bathing, etc). This requires a high level of trust that you will be sensitive to her privacy and needs. 3. FUN! She loves silliness, playing pretend games, and interacting with the people and world around her. She needs someone who is physically, mentally and emotionally active, imaginative, friendly and outgoing. She has a waiver and would prefer to pay through that but there are other options as well which will be discussed at the interview. We look forward to meeting you!
