Springmont, a pre-k through 8th grade Montessori school in Sandy Springs, GA, is accepting applications for a Montesssori Primary Teacher's Assistants for ages 3 years to 6 years old, for the 2024-25 academic year (position to begin in October 2024). This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a Monday - Friday, 7:45am - 3:45pm schedule. Compensation is commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision and dental insurance, paid time off, and professional development and retirement savings opportunities.
The Teacher's Assistant supports the Lead Teacher's work in the classroom and assist children with lunch, napping, toileting, and outdoor play. Attention to detail, cleanliness and order are essential to classroom environment. The Assistant will collaborate with the Teacher to create a nurturing and caring Montessori classroom community where freedom of choice, routines, and clear expectations allow young children to flourish.
The ideal candidate is warm, reliable, organized, and flexible and possesses good written and verbal communication skills and facility with technology. Experience with children is preferred. Previous experience in a Montessori environment is preferred in addition to experience working with children with special needs.
