SPLASH Kids is the children's ministry of Lake Baldwin Church. LBC worships every Sunday at 10:45 at Winter Park High School's 9th Grade Center. SPLASH Kids offers age-appropriate Bible lessons during the service to children ages 6 weeks through 5th grade. The SPLASH Program consists of 6 classes, nursery, 2s/3s, 4s/5s, K/1st, 2nd/3rd, and 4th/5th. Each class averages 8-12 children each Sunday. The preschool classes experience "learning stations" in their classrooms each week combined with free play during the teaching portion of the Worship Service. The Elementary classes experience "rotation stations" each week where they move from classroom to classroom through three 15 minute stations. The SPLASH Classroom Assistant/Floater is a weekly commitment on Sunday mornings from approximately 10 a.m. - 12:15 PM, with an extra hour available many weeks to provide childcare prior to the worship service as needed. The ideal candidate loves young children and is flexible and willing to jump into a variety of roles in SPLASH. The Floater may be asked to help in a preschool classroom, to escort an elementary class from station to station, or to serve as a one-on-one for one of our special needs students. The ideal candidate is: - comfortable caring for children between 6weeks - 10 years of age - flexible and adaptable - able to administer basic childcare needs such as snack time and bathroom breaks - willing to assist teachers with setting up activities, crafts, and songs - energetic and assertive - communicative to SPLASH Staff, Volunteers and parents
