Our values include affection, open communication (including explaining everything we do to our baby to promote language and closeness), validation of feelings, mindful one on one time, quality time, play time. Electronic free environment. Non- toxic lifestyle, free of EMF and toxins in the best of our ability. Reading and music are important in our household. My 9-month-old loves to be read to and held. She loves walks in the back of the house we she can be in contact with nature. She seems to really enjoy nature. She loves music and being danced and sang to. She does not like to be contained (so has a hard time with car rides at times and does not love being in her pack and play). She is almost exclusively breastfed and we do not practice and or are interested in sleep training. She's only 9 mos old. So she needs a safe environment, including emotionally speaking. Being present and mindful while spending time with her is essential. Ideally, multitasking while taking care of her would be minimal. Not using devices (phones, tv, tablets, etc.) is very important to us. We're looking for someone who is open and respectful of the family values we're teaching our baby. Most importantly being available to her physically and emotionally. She can be a high need baby at times and meeting her needs in the best of our abilities and validating her emotions is very important to us. Play and helping her learn through play is essential. Being affectionate and having visual contact and communicating with her is also something that we're looking for in a nanny. We prefer someone who comes from a close-knit family. That being said healthy boundaries are important to us. So we foster that as well. We have an old Tabby cat. He's affectionate for the most part. But can be cranky at times. She loves him but we do not let them interact without supervision.
