Thursday AM - Childcare - Nursery Worker Be part of a group of caregivers for a Mom's Group Bible Study at Grace Downtown meeting at Chinese Community Church (500 I St NW, 2 blocks from Gallery Place Metro.) This is a Christian organization. Stories will be presented based on the Christian Bible. These views must be respected. This is a recurring position for EVERY Thursday, 9:30a-12:30p throughout the school year. The position starts Sept 12, 2024. There are breaks through the holidays and other times. This provides three hours of pay each week. This position is only for THURSDAYS. Responsibilities include: Set up the room for usage - rug, toys, play areas, sign in sheets, crafts (as needed.) Manage sign in and sign out in compliance with child protection policy. Welcome parents - guide regarding needs and assurance of care. Welcome children, knowing their names, providing stability. Help children through separation from parents. Keep children on schedule regarding stories, snacks, etc. Creativity provided to determine activities each week. Manage all toiletry needs of children. Determine when a parent needs to be contacted for further assistance during the service. Report any issues to the Children's Ministry Director regarding Child Protection Policy. Report any needed supplies to Manager. Report any needs of child to parent. Clean toys used prior to storage. Breakdown room.
