We are looking for a consistent long-term sitter to care for our son, who will be 6 months old when the position starts in late May/early June. About our Family: We are a Mom and Dad that live in East Norwalk on the Westport border. We primarily work from home and at least one of us will be home with you most days. We have a 3-year-old daughter who is in school full-time, so this position will only be responsible for caring for our infant son. We also have a very friendly small dog. We are an active and loving family, and are looking for someone who is excited to partner with us to care for our son. He is an incredibly calm, sweet and happy baby! Schedule: This position will roughly have the same schedule every week (typically 11am-5 p.m. Monday-Friday), but we are hoping to find someone that is willing to work with some flexibility in the event we need more or fewer hours on a weekly basis. We will confirm the schedule at the start of each week and there will also be opportunities for evening or weekend hours if this is of interest. Responsibilities: -Provide a nurturing, safe and engaging environment for our son. We are looking for someone that is excited to play, do age appropriate activities, and have fun with him! -Basic infant responsibilities such as bottle, feeding, giving him lunch once he starts solids, and diaper changes -Comfortable keeping our son on his nap and feeding schedule, which we will provide for you and work with you on as it changes -Open to helping with light housekeeping during our son's naptime is a plus (examples: meal prep for our son, washing bottles, folding laundry, keeping our son's room and play areas tidy) Desired Qualifications: -Infant experience required - familiar with keeping infants on a schedule, doing age appropriate activities, bottle/solids feeding -Infant CPR certified -Non-smoker and vaccinated -Has own transportation and comfortable with driving our son, as we may ask you to take him to classes or other activities such as the beach, library, parks, etc. at some point -Willing to provide 2-3 references from former families you've worked with -Comfortable with dogs - you will not be responsible for caring for our dog, but he will be in the house If this sounds like a good match for what you are looking for, we'd love to hear from you!
