About the job
Looking for a few caring, creative, active people to join our existing team working with our 22-year-old daughter with Down syndrome and autism with a PDA profile. Experience with challenging behavior and complex communication highly preferred. Knowledge of PDA is a huge bonus. Must be comfortable assisting with ADL's, including using the bathroom. The right person will provide safety, friendship and fun, along with guidance and encouragement in helping her reach goals, such as expanding her interests, exercise and movement and increasing independence. She is a sweet, funny, determined, strong-willed person who enjoys swinging, going for adapted e-bike rides, jogger walks, car rides and music. Ideally looking for somebody long term that can grow with us. Pay is negotiable based on experience. We are flexible with days/times.
