We are seeking an active, able-bodied recent college graduate or graduate student to: - Start by providing afternoon care for our 18-year-old, non-speaking autistic son - take walks, read books, attend activities - Over time, get trained in using a letterboard as a communication method - Go on walks, hikes, biking - Commit to this position for a minimum of 9 months Hours per week (spring 2025): 9 hours, 2 - 5pm, MWF Hours per week (summer 2026): up to 30 hours About our son: He is a happy, easygoing, active, intelligent, and curious recent high school graduate taking community college classes. He is autistic, uses a letterboard to communicate (is non-speaking) and has epilepsy which is controlled by medication. He is affectionate and bonds easily with others. Per his request, applicants should be: Reserved, nice, smart and patient.
