Nanny Job Details Job ID: 5789 Location: Boulder, CO Please describe your family: Dad runs a company and works from home, although regularly needs to travel. Mom is a Professor. Our sons are ten and two and our daughter is seven. We like to read, to do outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, biking or walking. Both Mom and Dad work full time and travel. Please describe why you are looking for a nanny: We are looking for a full time Nanny/House Manager to help us with household tasks, and to take care of our two older children after school, particularly to get them to and from activities. Duties would include light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep and cooking, tidying/organizing, running errands, driving children to/from activities, and additional projects per parents' request. You would occasionally be asked to also care for the youngest. Occasionally we like to go on dates, but the bulk of the time when we have the chance to be with our kids we take it. You would need occasionally to have a valid passport and travel with us. If we are both traveling, we will need you to watch the children overnights as well. Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for: Our two older children would be the nanny's primary responsibility. Our oldest son is ten years old. He loves skiing and math. He is a sweet, social and loving child, but can push limits, and be a bit bossy. Our daughter is seven years old. She loves drawing, climbing, dressing up and playing with her younger brother. She is shy, and a bit slow to warm up in new situations or with new people, but is very caring once she does. They both tend to be upset when we leave, but then recover very quickly. They have been in daycare/school or with a nanny since they were a few months old and so are used to childcare. The older children are in elementary school. They rarely watch tv or get other screen time, usually only when we are traveling or there is a special event. Our toddler is almost two and is generally quite happy and silly. He loves anything with wheels and is in full time daycare. He is very verbal and affectionate. We have a babysitter who picks him up from daycare and watches him before dinner. Describe your home setting: We live in a beautiful area in South Boulder, close to parks, trails, schools and a neighborhood shopping center. We are interested in the following: Nanny, Permanent Full-Time/Part-Time? Full-time How long do you need a Nanny? Minimum 1 Year, multiple would be a plus! Nanny, live-out What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform? Taking our older children to and from activities, watching them after school, light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, preparing food, errands - anything related to Nanny duties. Must be experienced and professional. Self starter who doesn't need to be micro-managed and can multi-task. What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child? Driving children to and from activities in Boulder. Creating a stimulating, nurturing and safe environment for the children. Able to communicate well, Spanish speaking is a plus as the older children are in a bilingual school program. Plan and prepare afterschool snacks for the children. Help with bath and bedtime if we are on a date. Playing with children both indoors and outdoors. Provide developmentally appropriate educational games. Teaching letters, numbers, reading etc. Teaching manners and other socially appropriate behavior Arts and crafts. Reading books, taking children to the park and playground. Organizing and cleaning the play area. What special certifications/requirements are you looking for? CPR & First Aid Certifications and experience with Nanny/House Manager Duties. Vaccinated and Passport required. Spanish speaking a plus! Does this position require a valid driver's license? Yes Does this position require a car? Yes When will this position be available? Start date is flexible - ASAP would be great! How many hours do you need a nanny for? Is this short-term, or longer? M-F 11am to 7pm, with occasional evenings, weekends, overnight and travel. 1 year minimum, multiple years would be ideal. Occasional additional overnights, evenings and weekends. Occasional Travel - must have a valid passport. How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits? $35-$40/hr - 1.5 for overtime. Vacation, Major Holidays, Health, Dental, Vision, 401K. We will guarantee the weekly schedule/hours and pay regardless of whether we use them. Do you have any pets or animals in your home? None. What else are you looking for in a nanny?
