ASAP! Nanny Job Details Job ID: 5789 Location: Boulder, CO Please describe your family: We are a family of four with two daughters age 16 months and 4 years old. We have lived in Boulder for ten years and love all that Boulder has to offer. We both work, I work Monday-Friday and my wife works Tuesday/Thursday/Friday. We love to be outside as do our kids and our neighborhood makes that very easy. Our kids have toys but no screens and we hope to keep it that way as long as possible. We have a loving dog who takes quickly to new people. Please describe why you are looking for a nanny: We are looking for a nanny because my wife and I work during the week. We had a nanny for the past three years who recently needed to pursue a different opportunity that takes her away from us. Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for: We have two girls. Our older is nearly 4 and in school Monday-Friday half days. She is very curious and is exploring constantly. She is smart and remembers an incredible amount including small details that she will ask about later on. She eats well and generally eats everything that we eat and cook in the house. She likes snuggling reading books and also exploring outside. She loves her little sister. Our younger is nearly sixteen months and is a climber. She has recently started walking and is taking to it quickly. She is the real snuggler of the two. She has been more and more interested in our dog who is incredibly patient with her. She loves books and standing at her low work table to explore toys. Our youngest has an NG tube (feeding tube through her nose) that we hope will be gone in the coming months. No medical knowledge is required for this. It simply means that she gets some feeds through this tube throughout the day. She is eating more and more whole foods by mouth. She has never seemed bothered by the tube. Describe your home setting: We live just outside of town where we have more than an acre of space. There is a private lake/beach in our community where we and the kids spend time daily during the spring/summer/fall and also winter if it's warm since there is a playground. Our house has plenty of space inside for the play areas for the girls. They each have their own room. Outside there are plenty of varied spaces for exploring. The neighborhood is gated and there are nice places to take a walk. Our neighbors all know the girls and our dog. We live 15-20 minutes to either Pearl Street in Boulder and the same distance to downtown Longmont. We are interested in the following: Nanny, Permanent Full-Time/Part-Time? Full-time How long do you need a Nanny? 1 Year Live-in/Live-out? Nanny, live-out What tasks or errands do you expect your nanny to perform? The main task is taking care of the girls. That involves picking up the older from school and very occasionally dropping her off at school. For childcare, all tasks related to the children. House manager responsibilities may include dishes, laundry, occasional errands, meal prep, grocery shopping, light housekeeping, etc. While we expect that our nanny will be able to get to and from our house, we have a car that is a dedicated child car with car seats always in it for the nanny to use with the kids. When there is downtime during naps, we welcome help with putting away the kids things or running a load of kids laundry and other household help as needed. What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child? All and any! Reading, painting, going to the park (whether in our neighborhood or elsewhere), library, museums, any other activities that they come up with or the girls seem interested in. Exploring their interests and exposing them to new things. We are looking for a nanny to take care of our two girls during the week. That involves picking up our older from school, putting them both down for naps, taking them outside in our neighborhood, having ideas for activities for them both in and out of the house or around town. We hope a nanny can follow our lead with regard to our parenting style and work with us, as a team, as these two girls grow and explore. Creativity is wonderful and you'll have our full support for ideas you have for activities to do with them. What special certifications/requirements are you looking for? CPR and First Aid certification. Experience with toddler and preschool ages. Does this position require a valid driver's license? Yes Does this position require a car? Yes When will this position be available? Immediately How many hours do you need a nanny for? 40 hours M-F (M/W) 10:30-5:00 (T/TH/F) 8:00-5:00. Every 6 weeks we need a Saturday from 8-1.
