My wife and I have a 2. 5-year-old daughter who will need care for two 10-hour days a week starting late in February. Our daughter is a cautious and gentle child overall, and she is meeting all of her developmental milestones so far. She has a medical disorder that requires us to administer medicine during meals and that we count the number of grams of fat for everything she eats. Otherwise just normal cleanliness is usually all that's needed for attention to the medical disorder during the day. We might consider music training or other activities after age three but right now just going to the park and reading books is enough for her. We hope to have more children later, and if we do, we may need a greater time commitment eventually. We both work from home most days, and so we would be around to answer any questions that may come up.
