We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic personal assistant for a 12-year-old boy on the autism spectrum, to work 20-25 hours per week. The ideal candidate should have experience or a strong interest in supporting teens with autism, understanding how to manage overstimulation, and employing effective de-escalation techniques. Responsibilities include supervising the child, providing transportation to and from scheduled activities, and facilitating engagement in various social events. A genuine interest in Legos, video games, and animals is essential, as is comfort around dogs and other pets. The schedule is primarily flexible, focusing on afternoons and some weekends, with advance notice of activities provided. Transportation mileage will be reimbursed, and payroll will be through a payroll agency.
