Job Title: Weekend Nanny Job Type: Part-Time (Weekends with potential weekday hours) Hours: Flexible weekend hours, typically 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Additional support may be needed during the week before 9 a.m. or after 5 p.m. Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (to be discussed) Start Date: Immediate, with a meet and greet and trial period before long-term commitment Job Description: We are seeking a caring and energetic weekend nanny for our two children: a 16-month-old daughter who is just learning to walk and a 4. 5-year-old active and curious son. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our kids, fostering their development and ensuring their well-being. Responsibilities: - Childcare: - Prepare and serve meals and snacks. - Assist with bathing and bedtime routines. - Engage in age-appropriate educational and play activities. - Supervise outdoor playtime, including in our garden and on our hill. - Plan and attend play dates and trips to local parks. - Household Duties: - Perform light cleaning and tidying up related to the children's activities. - Ensure the children's play areas and bedrooms are organized. Qualifications: - Prior experience as a nanny or babysitter, particularly with infants and young children. - CPR and First Aid certifications (preferred). - Reliable transportation to and from our home. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact positively with children. - A proactive and creative approach to engaging children in activities. - Flexibility with working hours, including availability for occasional weekday support. Additional Requirements: - Must be comfortable with light household chores related to child care. - Ability to prepare simple and healthy meals. - A warm, patient, and reliable personality. - Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus. - Non-smoker.
