A sweet family in Santa Monica is looking for a warm, caring, and dedicated nanny for their adorable son, born at the end of November. By the time you start, he will be about 3. 5 months old. Mom will be going back to work on March 17th, and they're looking for a March 10th start date to ensure a seamless week of crossover. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with infants and toddlers, a solid understanding of child development, and, of course, a deep love for babies! Strong communication skills, openness to feedback, and alignment with the family's parenting choices are essential for this role. Mom works in the office, and dad works from home, so comfort with this dynamic is important. Dad enjoys spending small moments with the baby when possible, like stroller walks, and during these moments, you'll have the chance to handle light household tasks. Key Responsibilities: Follow the baby's daily routine, including feeding, wake windows, nap times, etc. Prepare and sanitize bottles. Engage the baby in stimulating activities such as playtime, reading books, and singing songs. During nap times, you'll have time to tidy up, do baby laundry, and dishes. If you're open to helping with family laundry or making the parents' bed, that would be a huge help and give them more time to enjoy with their son! LOCATION: Santa Monica, CA START DATE: March 10th SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 PM, with flexibility to work weekends 1x a month COMPENSATION: $35/hr gross QUALIFICATIONS: Must be based in LA (local candidates only). Willingness to work weekends (generally once a month), which may be local or include traveling with the family to the Bay Area and Central Valley - they will typically provide 2 weeks notice. Dog-friendly - While there is no dog in Santa Monica, both the Bay Area and Central Valley homes have hypoallergenic dogs. Driving is not required initially but may be incorporated as the child grows.
