THEIR GENUINE NANNY
Meet Our Violet Family!
Our warm, active Violet family lives in Dolores Park with their two children-a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old-and a baby boy arriving in July-and is looking for a long-term Family Assistant/Nanny who can step into a dynamic role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a family-centered environment, enjoys organization and planning, and loves working with young children.
The family also has a sweet dog and a second home in Lake Tahoe, so they would love to find someone open to occasional travel. One parent works full-time with a flexible schedule, while the other stays home and manages the household.
About the Role:
This full-time, Monday-Friday position (8:00 AM - 5:30 PM) is perfect for a proactive, detail-oriented, and nurturing caregiver who can balance childcare with household management. The family is looking for someone who can help plan the children's daily activities, assist with executive function tasks, and take initiative in keeping their home running smoothly.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Providing engaging, attentive care to the children, ensuring their activities are stimulating and developmentally appropriate.
Supporting the 4-year-old's transition to a new caregiver, as they are especially sensitive to change.
Preparing healthy snacks and lunches and being thoughtful about nutrition.
Managing light household tasks such as laundry, dishes, grocery runs, and tidying up.
Anticipating household needs and keeping supplies stocked.
Occasionally traveling with the family and being flexible with dates as needed.
The family prefers a candidate who can drive and has their own car, though this is not a strict requirement. Speaking another language would be a wonderful bonus!
Who You Are:
The ideal candidate is warm, organized, and adaptable, with a genuine love for children and a strong sense of initiative. You have a deep understanding of child development, particularly for toddlers and preschoolers, and can help plan enriching activities. You are a self-starter who sees what needs to be done and takes action without needing constant direction. You are also emotionally intelligent, able to read the room, and provide extra sensitivity and patience as needed during transitions.
A love for healthy cooking and an eye for organization is a plus, as the family values nutritious meals and an orderly home. If you enjoy keeping a household running smoothly, engaging with young children, and becoming a trusted part of a family's daily life, this is the perfect role for you!
Qualifications:
Minimum of 45 hours per week commitment
Understanding of child development with the ability to provide appropriate learning activities
Experience in preparing healthy meals for young children
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage daily routines
Excellent communication skills with both children and parents
Valid driver's license (preferred)
Spanish language skills (a plus)
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive care for their children, ensuring their safety and well-being
Engage in activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development
Facilitate playdates and outings to parks and classes
Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children
Maintain a structured daily routine, including nap and playtime
Communicate regularly with parents about children's progress and daily activities
Assist with light household tasks as time permits, such as grocery shopping and laundry
To ensure the success of our nanny position, we have established the following requirements:
A minimum of 3-5 years of recent, professional experience in childcare.
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Impressive references from past employers, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and exceptional childcare skills.

Valid U.S. citizenship or work authorization.
Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
CPR certification (if applicable).
Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination and boosters.
