He has also been enjoying karate. We have been practicing writing his name and identifying numbers and letters in preparation for kindergarten in the fall. Here are some areas where we need support and help: 1. Daily Routines and Safety: -- Supervision: Ensuring constant, age-appropriate supervision both indoors and outdoors to keep them safe. -- Schedules: Helping maintain consistent daily routines. 2. Behavior Guidance and Emotional Support: -- Helping understand and manage his emotions through positive reinforcement and gentle discipline techniques. -- Encouraging sharing, cooperation, and problem-solving during playtime. 3. Light Child-Related Housekeeping: -- Tidying up play areas and organizing toys and materials after activities. -- Ensuring that children’s spaces remain safe and conducive to learning and play. 4. Communication with Parents: -- Keeping us informed about daily activities, milestones, challenges, and any concerns. -- Coordinating schedules for activities, playdates, or outings as needed. We would like our nanny/caregiver to have: -- Experience in childcare and early childhood development. -- Patience, empathy, and understanding. -- Strong communication skills with both children and parents. -- Reliability and trustworthiness. -- Adaptability, dependability, and flexibility, including creativity. -- Safety awareness and ideally first aid knowledge. -- Organizational skills for managing routines, activities, and light housekeeping. -- Ability to foster a nurturing environment with positive energy and enthusiasm. -- Ability to interact and engage with children of all ages. Our home has street parking available. We have 2 dogs, terrier mix females. Both are 10 years old. We adopted them in Hawaii and have been with our family since the beginning. They can be hyper upon initial meet and greet, but they are lovers and snugglers once they get past the initial excitement.
