San Diego family is looking for an experienced and engaging nanny to join their home and help care for their sweet baby girl, who will be 9 months old or so at start date. They value a Montessori-Waldorf method inspired environment with zero screen time and encourage developmental and educational activities that foster independence and growth. As a family, they enjoy outdoor activities, gardening, cooking, and spending time at the ocean. This position is perfect for a nanny who is enthusiastic, nurturing, and proactive in creating a positive and enriching environment for baby. The family is also hoping the nanny will stay with them at least until the child goes to TK/Preschool. Nanny Responsibilities Childcare: Feeding, bathing, and dressing children. Changing diapers and potty training. Creating a safe and stimulating environment. Planning educational and developmental activities (e. g., reading, crafts). (Family to provide appropriate toys, books, library and - zoo memberships. Current activities: baby sign language and swim lessons) No screen time. Outdoor time and walks (backyard and stroller provided) if weather permits Managing nap and sleep schedules. (baby is sleep trained and has preexisting nap schedule) Maintain a routine that can be replicated by parents on weekends. Driving children to/from school or activities (if required). Housekeeping (Child-Related): Organizing and tidying children's rooms and play areas. Preparing meals and snacks for children. Cleaning and sterilizing bottles, toys, and dishes. Family Support: Managing family schedules, including appointments and activities. Running errands (e. g., grocery shopping, dry cleaning). Light housekeeping beyond child-related tasks (vacuuming, dishes). Preparing meals for the family.
