About the job
We are looking for a regular, part-time sitter (25 hours/week, M-F) to provide after school care, including 12:15 p.m. pickup (car required), for our 5-year-old who attends morning kindergarten at A. M. Winn Public Waldorf Elementary. Experience working with neurodivergent children (e. g. ADHD), or willingness to learn, required. Role will involve working with 5 y. o. to help move through daily schedule. Enthusiasm for reading, Legos, and nature a big plus. Our kid is funny, smart, inquisitive and a lover of insects and other animals. They are also working on impulse control ( physical outbursts when escalated); we're working with them to regulate focus and emotions with a variety of tools - patience, kindness, dependability, and a sense of humor are needed Note: We are unable to accommodate additional children accompanying sitter.
