About the job
Looking for a patient, kind, and consistent caregiver for our two children, one with special needs. Boy (9) has ASD, ADHD and epilepsy. While he is verbal, he struggles to communicate beyond basic requests. He also struggles with unfamiliar people/situations. He loves to listen to music, play Legos and draw pictures. Girl (4) is a precocious chatterbox who loves to dance, tell jokes and make believe. She will ask you lots of questions about yourself. Both kids enjoy playing together and in many ways are at similar developmental stages. While very rare, son has attempted to destroy things or hurt himself when distressed, so the candidate needs to be assertive and capable. The candidate needs to be comfortable with administering a nasal spray rescue medication in the event of a seizure (also rare).
