GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Provide a variety of materials and resources for the children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
Attend to children's basic needs.
Complete the Funshine Express curriculum as well as potty training, personal hygiene and social skills.
Establish and maintain rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order.
Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, music, storytelling, arts and crafts.
Meet with parents upon their request to discuss their children's progress and needs.
Organize and label materials and display students' work in a manner appropriate for their ages and skills.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the aides that are working with you ensuring the quality of care.
Follow all Title 22 guidelines and ensure that all those working with you do as well.
Identify children showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems, and discuss them with supervisors first then parents and or guardians.
Provide a calm and supportive environment in which coworkers and children can thrive.
Ensure that the laundry is done each week and room, toys etc. are properly sanitized every day.
Requirements
Must have 12 units of early childhood education. These must include Child Development, Child in the Home and Community, Intro to Curriculum and at least one curriculum class.
Must have and maintain Pediatric CPR and First Aid
