Private Educator And Family Assistant In Pasadena

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Private Educator/Family Assistant for four children (ages 4, 7, 8, & 10 years) in Pasadena. The schedule is Mon-Fri 10:30am-7 p.m. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, a passion for child development, and the ability to create a stimulating and enriching environment. A Bachelor's Degree in Education, Child Development, or related field is a HUGE PLUS! In addition to academic support, this role includes light household assistance to ensure an organized and smooth-running home. The family values a professional who is nurturing, proactive, and adaptable. Mom is very hands on and it has been impressed upon me that she is very kind, sweet, loving, and a dream to work with! Responsibilities include: Plan and facilitate age-appropriate educational activities to support learning and development Provide homework assistance and enrichment in core subjects Encourage curiosity and creativity through hands-on learning, arts, and STEM-based activities Foster a love for reading through engaging literacy activities Prepare and serve healthy meals for the children Assist with school pick-ups/drop-offs and extracurricular activities (vehicle provided) Help maintain an organized learning environment and play areas Support household organization, including some laundry, tidying common areas, and occasional errands Assist with planning special family events, activities, and celebrations Requirements: Minimum two years of experience as an educator, tutor, or in a similar teaching role Live within a 30-minute commute to Pasadena Passion for early childhood and primary education with a nurturing and engaging approach Willingness to provide occasional weekend support such as weddings, date nights, and other family occasions Willingness to travel locally with the family (typically to Palm Desert and Newport Beach) Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to family needs Comfortable around pets (the family has 2 dogs) Excellent driving record (vehicle provided for job-related tasks) Salary: Competitive pay + excellent benefit package (medical, dental, vision, & 401k)
