We are a loving family in Oakland seeking a compassionate, experienced respite care provider for our 5-year-old non-verbal autistic son. Responsibilities: - Provide attentive supervision and care - Engage in developmental activities - Assist with daily routines (snacks, meals, hygiene) - Transport to parks and activities - Implement sensory-friendly approaches - Follow routines and behavior strategies - Help with light household tasks Requirements: - Spanish-speaking (strongly preferred) - Valid driver's license with a clean record - Experience with children with Autism or special needs - Patient and compassionate approach - Ability to follow routines while being flexible - Physically capable of active play Schedule: - 25 hours/week during the school year - Approximately 30-40 hours/week during summer breaks. Additional needs include pick up / drop off, light housekeeping, meal prep and being comfortable with pets.
