About the job
I need a care provider for my 9-year-old daughter, who has a significant speech & social emotional delay. These hours would be mostly in the afternoon (after school), with additional time needed for in-service days, holidays & summer break. Provider must be patient & calm in the face of extreme behaviors, but also willing to stand firm. Main duties will be to help monitor her food, exercise & medication when necessary, as well as playing & coloring with her, going on walks & to the park or pool. It could also involve being in the home during BT or driving her to other therapies, so the ability to drive is required. Being able to understand & speak English clearly is a must, as it would be difficult to communicate with my daughter otherwise. My daughter is very sweet & loving, but this is not a position for the faint of heart.
