We are thrilled to partner again with this wonderful family of 5 in West Hollywood (Fairfax District), as they look to welcome a dedicated and dynamic Family Assistant into their home! Their beloved nanny of 3 years is relocating to be closer to family, and they are searching for someone equally warm, proactive, and engaged to step into this role. This role is a perfect balance of family assistant duties (50%) and childcare (50%). You will be an integral part of the household, helping to ensure a smooth, organized, and joyful environment. Your responsibilities will be split between assisting with household management tasks and providing attentive, engaging care for the children, ages 5 and 8. It's important to these parents that their nanny helps instill manners-ensuring the children say "please" and "thank you," practice gratitude, and learn independence and kindness. Encouraging imaginative play, dance, dress-up, sewing, creative activities, and outdoor play are all highly valued aspects of this role. Additionally, the children's grandfather lives in a detached unit on the property, and he is a cherished part of the family. They are looking for someone who will warmly include him in daily activities, offer to grab groceries for him during store runs, and foster a sense of connection within the household. DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES: Family Assistant Duties (50%) Running errands, including grocery shopping and gift purchasing Light household organization and tidying, particularly in kids' areas Meal prepping and planning for the week ahead Coordinating birthday party planning and other family events Helping organize the house after weekends Managing backpacks, lunches, and preparing for the next day Assisting with small tasks for the children's grandfather, such as picking up groceries Childcare Duties (50%) School pickup and transportation (starting at 2 PM) Preparing and serving kids' meals Engaging with the kids in creative, active, and playful ways Bath time routine and evening wind-down (mom typically takes over around 6:30 PM if home) Assisting with kids' laundry and keeping their spaces clean and organized LOCATION: Fairfax, CA (West Hollywood Adjacent - Greater Los Angeles Area) SCHEDULE: 40 Hours Guaranteed Weekly Monday: 10 AM - 7:30 PM Tuesday - Friday: 12/1 PM - 7:30 PM Occasional early starts (as early as 8 AM) when the kids are not in school Flexibility to work 1-2 later evenings per week (until 10 PM) for date nights/events Occasional weekend availability (typically Saturday afternoons or Sunday mornings) The family provides a schedule at least one week in advance COMPENSATION: $30-$35/hr gross DOE QUALIFICATIONS: Highly discreet and professional Comfortable in the kitchen, ability to batch prep meals (e.g., sautéed zucchini, roasted chicken) and bake with the kids Dog-friendly (family has a Yorkie and a Goldendoodle) - occasional feeding or short walks No travel required While the family does not require specific vaccinations, they seek someone who is open to science and understands the importance of vaccinations The family is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and hands-on Family Assistant who brings positive energy into their home.
