Are you an outgoing, patient, and supportive individual who enjoys helping others navigate daily life with confidence? A wonderful family is seeking a friendly companion for their 19-year-old daughter who has high-functioning autism and OCD and experiences anxiety. She is a bright, fully independent young lady who sometimes struggles with leaving her apartment, running errands, and managing daily tasks. This position is ideal for someone warm, energetic, and encouraging, who can help provide reassurance, boost her confidence in social settings and is a wonderful role model and big sister or big brother type of person. Responsibilities: Accompany her on outings to Century City Mall, grocery stores, and other errands Help her organize her apartment and maintain a tidy space Accompany her to activities (e. g., Drybar, etc) Provide gentle reassurance when she feels overwhelmed (remind her that she is okay and doesn't need to worry excessively) Give updates to her mom to provide peace of mind Help her navigate public spaces with ease and build independence Location: Wilshire Corridor, Los Angeles, CA Schedule: 3 times a week, 3-4 hours per visit, 10 hours guaranteed weekly, Mid February-May 2025 (very flexible) Compensation: $30-$35/hr Requirements: Friendly, outgoing, and confident personality Patient and understanding of anxiety and OCD-related challenges Experience working with people with special needs Comfortable providing positive reinforcement and encouragement Preferably familiar with Los Angeles and surrounding areas Safe driving record and reliable transportation.
