A wonderful family of 4 in Larchmont, CA (Hollywood adjacent) is seeking a bright, upbeat, and proactive Family Assistant to support their household and care for their two children, ages 5 and 7. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working with school-aged children, and excels at multitasking.The primary responsibilities include school pick-up in Studio City using your own vehicle (a gas stipend will be provided) and transporting the children to after-school activities such as tennis and piano lessons. You will assist with evening routines, including helping the children shower before dinner and managing light household tasks like making children's beds, keeping their rooms/play areas organized, doing family laundry, and loading dishes into the dishwasher after meals. They have a housekeeper 2x a week to handle deep cleaning and cooking. However, on the days she's not there, you will take on dinner prep! You will be charged with preparing simple family dinners 3x a week before school pick-up. No gourmet chef needed - envision chicken with salad and rice, or tacos with rice and beans. The daughter has a nut allergy, so awareness and careful meal preparation are essential. The family will order groceries at the start of the week, and the housekeeper will put them away, but you should monitor household needs and update parents/shopping list as needed. LOCATION: Larchmont, CA SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 1 PM - 7/8 PM (30 hours per week) START DATE: ASAP COMPENSATION: $35/hour gross QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with dual-working families and school-aged children. Ability to prepare simple family dinners 3 days a week. Strong Driving Record (in LA) Strong swimming skills to supervise pool activities. Vaccinated (open to vaccines).
