Responsible + Confident Nanny/FA Needed to Work 3 Afternoons/Week in Los Feliz with Two School Age Boys (Ages 8.5 + 11 Years Old)! The boys go to school in Pasadena, and the family expects that they will likely make the move to Pasadena sometime in the next year, please be comfortable commuting to both Los Feliz + Pasadena, as this is a long-term position! Their DREAM nanny is organized, progressive, enjoys diving into projects and will defer to the parents child rearing methodology! The family observes Jewish traditions and holidays, and are seeking a nanny who is comfortable working in a Jewish household. While specific knowledge of Jewish customs is not required, openness to learning about and respecting their family's values and practices is important. Their boys are very into sports (soccer, tennis), LEGO, chess, and are very creative (they enjoy theater too!)! They attend a very progressive school and often have conversations about social justice and want their nanny to be on the same wave length with those conversations. They have very little homework, but they do have pretty busy schedules and will need your support. The younger boy has ADHD and dyslexia and the parents take an active approach in leaning how to help him succeed, and want their nanny to be invested in his success as well! LOCATION: Los Feliz, CA (Greater Los Angeles Area) SCHEDULE: Tuesday, Wednesday + Thursday from 1:30/2PM - 8:00PM (+ occasional later evening requests) COMPENSATION: $35-$40/hr Gross (on payroll) QUALIFICATIONS: Safe + Confident Driver (must have a valid driver's license and your own vehicle) Comfortable Cooking/Meal Prepping Dinner for the Whole Family Bilingual in Spanish/English is a PLUS- but not required Dog Friendly - they have a loving golden retriever in the home Up to Date on Standard Vaccine Schedule Your day will start before school pick up and you will tackle FA related tasks, things like running errands (picking up/dropping off dry cleaning, handling returns, mailing things at the post office, letting the dog out to go potty, grocery shopping, meal planning + prep for the family), once it's time to grab the boys from school you will either shuttle them to and from any activities, or take them home to help with the afternoon/evening routine (make a snack, help with homework, etc). They would love to find someone who is flexible and open to working later evenings as needed if the parents have events to attend! If you are not spending the evening with the kids at their various practices (for example, if mom and/or dad are with them, they would love your help with preparing a simple dinner for the family to eat when they get home! Food can also be prepped in advance to be reheated for dinner. For meal prep + cooking, the parents will work with you to come up with a menu for the week and will divide an conquer (mom might do the prep and you do the cooking, or vice versa, they want someone willing to collaborate with them!), meals will be simple and nutritious like marinating and grilling meat, throwing some veggies in the oven, and occasionally even things like noodles and chicken nuggets!
